Adventure Tour Mexico

In Mesoamerica flourished one of the most important civilizations in the world

In Mesoamerica flourished one of the most important civilizations in the world; the Maya developed here math, architecture, literature, medicine and spirituality among other disciplines in a complex society ruled by powerful kings, who often were the heirs of the gods in earth, today we may visit the remains of their magnificent temples, palaces and cities among the jungle in the Maya World.

The Garifuna people or Garinagu, are the descendants of indigenous Caribs and African slaves who managed to escape from British and Spanish Caribbean plantations or survived shipwrecks, who originally lived in the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent.

The original diaspora was transplanted to the Central American coast from the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent at the end of the 18th century, after living initially in the islands of Jamaica and Roatan; today the majority of the population resides in the Honduras Gulf, particularly in southern Belize, Livingston Guatemala, Nicaragua and the United States. In 2001 UNESCO proclaimed the language, dance and music of the Garifuna as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
