Your visit to Oaxaca lands can’t end without the traditional mezcal, there will be several options to taste the different varieties.

INTINERARY

In the morning, we head towards the Cholula archaeological site. After exploring that site, we will continue to Santa Maria Tonantzintla, which is valued for its decoration known as “Indigenous Baroque.” Once arriving in Puebla, we will take a City Tour.

Today, we start our City Tour by visiting a Talavera Ceramic Workshop. Then, we head to the El Rosario Chapel to experience the magnificent Mexican Baroque architecture within. Next, on a more casual tour of the Candy Street and enjoy the majestic architecture of this colonial city.

On our way to Oaxaca City, we will visit the Biosphere Reserve of Tehuacan- Cuicatlan, the most recent inscription of Mexico in the UNESCO’s list of Humanities’ Heritage sites; this reserve protects Mexico’s varieties of cacti, which are considered endangered worldwide.
Overnight in Oaxaca City. 

In the morning, we will depart to Mitla archaeological site, the city of the Dead. After the tour, we will continue to visit a traditional Mezcal distillery to learn the artisanal process and enjoy some sampling. Finally, we will take a tour to a textile workshop at Teotitlan del Valle, where we will learn the mastery of artisanal dying and preparation of the wool. Overnight in Oaxaca City.

In the morning we will visit Monte Alban, a Zapotec archaeological site which dominated the region for over 1,000 years, when we return to the city we will explore the Temple and Former Convent of Santo Domingo, the most important architectonic ensemble in the city, where we will visit the museum, to admire the jewels found at the Tomb No.7 in Monte Alban, considered the wealthiest discovery in Mexican archeology.
Overnight in Oaxaca City.

Today we will spend the morning at the Market where we will enjoy the
colors and variety of the produce of Oaxaca, afterwards we will stroll the
streets at the Jalatlaco & Xochimilco traditional barrios, where we will enjoy
the street art, tranquil parks and beauty of the city. 
Overnight in Tehuantepec, Oaxaca.

After breakfast we will depart towards Tehuacan, Puebla; upon arrival we will visit the Government Palace where we will admire the murals painted by the Carpinteyro brothers in the early 1980’s.

In the morning we will depart towards Mexico City, our final destination.
